Solheim Cup: Minimal changes for Europe in Saturday foursomes as USA sit Lexi Thompson

Catriona Matthew has made minimal changes to her for Saturday morning’s foursomes in the Solheim Cup, as Team USA captain Juli Inkster rested Lexi Thompson.
Charley Hull and Azahara Munoz stay together despite their disappointment in letting slip a lead with six to play within their Friday fourballs, whereas Bronte Law and Carlota Ciganda continue their partnership after making two halves.
Last year’s Women’s British Open champion Georgia Hall along with Celine Boutier reunite after sitting out Friday afternoon, while Anne van Dam’s remarkable performance earned her a spot in the foursomes using Anna Nordqvist.
Van Dam and Nordqvist direct with Boutier and Hall taking on Ally McDonald along with Lizette Salas Europe away in Saturday’s opening game against Marina Alex and Morgan Pressel, who collaborated together with Ciganda and Legislation from Friday’s opener.
Munoz and hull won their afternoon one foursomes 1 & 2 despite making just 1 birdie at 17 holes, and they will face Megan Khang and Danielle Kang in the match that was third outside.
That leaves Ciganda and Law to deliver up the back against Jessica and Nelly Korda’s sister act, who dared over Jodi Ewart Shadoff and Caroline Masson to register the year’s contest’s very first stage.
The Korda sisters were split for Friday afternoon’s session, after announcing Thursday none of her gamers could feature in all five games, however they’re sure to stand out Saturday’s fourballs unless Inkster has a change of strategy.
Saturday’s foursomes:
0810 Anna Nordqvist and also Anne van Dam Marina Alex and vs Morgan Pressel
0822 Georgia Hall along with Celine Boutier vs Ally McDonald along with Lizette Salas
0834 Charley Hull and Azahara Munoz vs Megan Khang and Danielle Kang
0846 Carlota Ciganda and Bronte Law vs Jessica Korda and Nelly Korda
