Irini Bachlitzanaki participates in “Athens, we have a problem” a literary and visual arts Sci-fi festival which takes place at Snehta between 3- 7 May
Snehta Residency, Ι. Drosopoulou 47 & Kefallinias 39
Women who are hired by the affluent to give birth to their oversized babies, monstrous squids that pose an immediate threat to our lives, robotic bees protecting the border, wise men whose bodies have curved under the weight of their wisdom, Cryonics who just came out of their cocoons to look for the panacea, strange creatures whose heads parasitize other creatures. Is this what Athens will look like in the future? Or perhaps what it looks like in our days but we have failed to notice? The only thing we can know for certain is: Athens, we have a problem.
Snehta Residency invites you to put on your Sci-fi glasses and have a different look around the city, at the Sci-Fi festival which will run for four days at both Snehta spaces (I.Drosopoulou 47 and Kefallinias 39). 18 talented young artists from both Greece and abroad will be showing original work, while a selection of the 21 original short stories written for the occasion will be available in a limited edition publication.
The festival will run from the 3rd until the 7th of May. The opening hours are 12:00 – 20:00. The opening is on Wednesday 3rd of May at 20:00. On Friday, the writers will read their short stories for the public. On Saturday after 20:00 please join us for a special party!
